JAIL OPERATIONS MILLAGE

 This millage does NOT fund the construction of a new jail or repairs to the existing one.

Without the Jail Operations Millage, the Sheriff's department would be forced to cut $1 million from its budget. This equates to 12 full-time deputy positions. This could lead to the elimination of several law enforcement services, the closure of parts of the jail, and the refusal of arrests.
